Quick game thoughts:
That tackle by Jeff deserved the red - I watched it in slow-mo and he's really lucky he didn't break Prideaux's leg. He was high, late, and cleats up - just plain nasty. The downside of playing hard tacklers like Shalrie and Jeff is they're going to make painful mistakes that result in cards. Hopefully Franchino is feeling a lot stronger - we could use him next wed. I also checked out Nichols reference to Mapp's hard tackle - yellow card yes, red card no in my opinion.

I think we did see some weakness on our backline that surprised me. I thought the first two goals should have been taken care of by our verteran trio on the backline. We have to tighten things up there if we're going to survive the year. Sloppy!

The third goal, the PK, was definitely a bad call - Mapp should have received a yellow for that one (perhaps he's been watching some italian game tapes...). Total BS and a nail in the coffin - but give our guys credit, they didn't stop pushing forward.

All things considered we still pulled off 7 Shots; 5 Shots on Goal; and 11 Corner Kicks. These are amazing stats for a team playing down one player while playing one of the better teams in the division for 90 minutes. We have some things to work on, but we still look strong in my opinion

As for Chicago, they're looking much better than last fall (or Houston is looking reallllllly bad). Their off- season aquisitions and preseason training paid dividends.

Mansally and Nyassi played pretty well. There weren't quite as effective but they also tracked back, pushed forward, and kept our offense alive. They did have one collision that highlighted Nichols point about the need for smart runs by Mansally.

Forever faithfull! GO REVS!!!!!!!
